Sunlight has climbed out
The forces of daytime surge
Hints of blessed nights
poetry, prose, and photography

Sunlight has climbed out
The forces of daytime surge
Hints of blessed nights

It’s audacious
Hubristic, really
To think these words
A silly spackle of thought
Might, maybe, change things
Dampen a bit of rage
Create a little love
Maybe, just maybe,
My audacity might
Bear fruit
Hope echoes
Within

Light across the cloud
The eye of God looking down
Changed when it meets me

Now facing westwards
Glory bursting through the trees
Cool air satisfies
The sunburned stars Destroyed by the daylight Longing for night’s reprieve
Innocence’s core
Deep into the abyss
Consumed by our longing
Willing sold for love
A fair trade?
