Early morning
Well before dawn
Listening to the rain
poetry, prose, and photography
I adore the simplicity, as well as the challenge of Haiku. The constraints focus my mind, seeking out the essence of the moment, feeling, notion, distilling it to brilliant singularity.
My goal: to post at least one haiku a day.

Early morning
Well before dawn
Listening to the rain
under the sunrise
listening to birdsong
through the fog

rain passed by
sun moves through the clouds
vigor of the bees

through spring rains
flowers forced to wait
for summer's delight
birds greeting the morn
becoming more boisterous
as the light moves west
This is my response to today’s Twitter haiku challenge.

just before sunrise
the voice of a single bird
before my tea's brewed

blue sky memories
blossoms caressed by sunlight
your voice in my dreams
