Poem In My Pocket Haiku Challenge

Posted this poem on Instagram earlier today. I love responding to challenges.

Come and follow me there, too!

You Are Wonderful: Tonight’s Haiku

You are wonderful

Celebrate all your beauty

Leaves upon the breeze

Pleaee, always remember how wonderful you are. Celebrate it, delight in it, share yourself with the world. Make it a better place.

Tonight’s Haiku: Efficiency and Seeking Beauty

My most efficient

I get so very much done

And forget beauty

There are days where i get tons of WORK done, which is all well and good. But when I forget to look around me, to grab a photo or write a poem. I notice it when wrap up the day without any new photos. Creativity is everything to me.

Contrasting Cruelty and Beauty: A Morning Haiku

Cruelty is easy

Creating beauty? Hard work

This is my focus

The curse of inadequate coffee

The curse of inadequate coffee
Obligingly sipped amidst family or coworkers
Eventually I will seek out a cafe of quality
Pastries accentuating the fragrance
Of fresh roasted delight

The Paradigm of Rage

I reject the paradigm of rage

Replacing that with kindness

Seeking all the world’s beauty

Then magnify it all

Beauty in the Night: Today’s Haiku

Nighttime had fallen
The beauty in the darkness
Lights shining brightly

I wish each of you a peaceful and restful night. My the bright spots shining in the night inspire you, and warm your hearts.

This Autumn Day

Love this autumn day
Which has crested into night
Now rest, finally

Beauty Within Destruction

In the smoke
I see beauty within
Destruction

The Seattle area has been suffering with unhealthy accounts of smoke. First from California, then from British Columbia.

At dawn and dusk the sun has been this bold orange/red. Stunningly beautiful, juxtaposed against the monumental destruction weight by those fires.
