Anxiety: A Monday Morning Haiku

Anxiety

The cruelest noise

In silence

Safety

His soul hides

Deep within old leather covers

Safe upon the shelf

Sometimes pulled down

Blowing dust free

Forgotten poems read

In the fading light

Of dusk

Responding to Anxiety

Cruel fears rising up
Rising up within the calm
Catching me off guard

The Importance Of Heart

To conquer your fears

Your heart must be prepared

It’s critical strength

Facing fear, putting it in its place

Fears can speak loudly

We must learn to not let them

Paralyze our will

The Light Is Born

Within the darkness

Are the parents of the light

Violent beauty

Proactively Dealing With Fear

Proactive or not

Fear demands our attention

This calm, Autumn night

Do not give into fear

Do not give in to fear

Each step of acquiesce

Feeds the beast

Growing it

Face it down!

Demand it sit

Then lay down

Into the dirt

Acknowledging

Your power
