Moving through mid-day
I step outside and reclaim
Focus and vision
poetry, prose, and photography

Moving through mid-day
I step outside and reclaim
Focus and vision

What can we now do
To face down our culture’s rage
Find a path to peace

If we all wage peace
Perhaps sanity will reign
Deny destruction
The day’s busyness
Finally able to sit
Now, to find quiet
Guitar’s caress
Moves against my soul
Alighting my mood
