My feet are moving
I delight in the darkness
A sense of calmness
poetry, prose, and photography

My feet are moving
I delight in the darkness
A sense of calmness

Walking at twilight
The sense of forward motion
My tranquility
I value my evening walks. They bring me focus and settle down my more manic moments. Often, I listen to podcasts. Today, though, I opted for music. Spotify is glorious if you love music like I do.

Flowers in the night
Do they notice the street light?
A breeze from the west
Another meditation from an evening walk. These walks clear my mind of the day’s mania. Thus they’re very welcome to me.

Walking through the rain
WIth summer’s end approaching
This crafted flower
Though it cooler than the past few days, it felt plenty warm to me. Greater Seattle’s mugginess felt fine to me.

Nights power rising
Warm air freed from the cloud’s grace
Wakefulness waning

Walking down this trail
Raindrops passing through the trees
Seattle’s springtime

The water’s stillness
With the sun moving westward
Spring’s daylight now ends
I live about 30 miles north of Seattle. I adore walking along the Edmonds waterfront. Many of my shots posted here are from this small city. My history here goes back a few generations. Simply walking here brings forth memories of cousins, grandparents.

Walking near the shore
Sunlight gracefully setting
My mind is swirling
It’s been a rough couple of days. A few moments of peace were very welcome. Walking and writing poetry connect me to the greater grace of the universe. And I’m grateful.
I’m grateful for you, too, dear readers. The likes and comments make me feel like I add value to your lives with my shaped words. So, thank you for reading, liking and commenting! It lightens the heavier loads in my life.
I got in a few evening walks this week. My mind fills with thoughts and inspiration. They’re deeply valuable to me.
My body’s motion
As I move into twilight
Sky’s colors delight
