As the firefly
Moves across
The darkness
Leaving a trail…
Moments fleeting
Into memory
Then mist’s winds
Drag them
Beyond the treetops
Up to the stars
poetry, prose, and photography
As the firefly
Moves across
The darkness
Leaving a trail…
Moments fleeting
Into memory
Then mist’s winds
Drag them
Beyond the treetops
Up to the stars
Oh teriyaki!
Your sweet, delightful flavor
So many choices
Within the hard rain
Atop steel tree; watching
A hawk sits, hungry
Sun set a while ago
Darkness fills the air
Comforting: I find it so
Freed from sunlight’s care
Roof rattles
Grinding force
Flowing earthwards
Each droplet unites
Living planet’s power
All consuming
It delights me so
To see the kids around me
Make better choices
A call to rise up
A flicker striking my roof
A moment of spring
