A Pre-Dawn Haiku ForĀ #NaHaiWriMo andĀ #SnowMageddon2019

I sit in the darkness

Free from fear’s anguished grasping

Earth covered in snow

Seattle’s first significant snow event this winter has disrupted our lives solidly. I miss the days i could walk to work, even in the snow. The roads have been quite treacherous. So, I’ve avoided them. Today, though, I really need to make my way into the office. It’ll be fun ,I’m sure.

The Grace Of Fresh Snow

I look at the night

Upon freshly fallen snow

I’m struck by the grace

It’s a beautiful, snowy night here in Seattle. It feels wonderful, though I dread tomorrow’s commute.

Releasing Perfection

Perfection released

Forever seeking to grow

Gentle humbleness

There’s a power in humility. Slowly I’m growing forward.

A Monday Morning Haiku

Outside the window

The predawn darkness remains

Cursing the alarm

Guess I have a case of the Mondays. Feeling exhausted still. Don’t feel i got enough rest over the weekend. What about you?

Tonight’s Haiku: On A Winter Walk

On a winter’s walk
As darkness approaches me
Loving the sky’s glow

A meditation on brokenness

Am I more broken?

How does one compare such things?

I can hear the rain

Facing the Stars: a Haiku

Came to with this as-build reducing the night’s sky.
