As the darkness falls
Light echoing the day’s joy
Fading to slumber
poetry, prose, and photography

As the darkness falls
Light echoing the day’s joy
Fading to slumber

As night descends
Summer’s air cools
I enjoy tranquility
A moment, flowing
Quickly, as life
Demands attention
Westward colors
Embrace the sky
Smoke, and other
Things, transcend
To beauty

This little market
Speaking to me of summer
Gentle memories
Into the expanse
Blue water, sky and mountains
Converge in sunlight
We walked into the cafe
An older couple entered
Through my held door
Hand in hand
Talking to friends
Amidst the youth
And their frantic keystrokes
Lost to the now
Rain’s changing
Drippy drizzle
To wind blown torrent
And the light moving
Across the sky
Puddles forming upon
Untended tables
