a break in the rain
sunlight hides behind the clouds
the cool autumn air

Autumn Sky: A Haiku

autumn rains fade
sunlight returns to the sky
brown leaves resisting

cold rain
through my shivering
droplets like diamonds

the beauty of dusk
sunlight dips behind mountains
fiery red sky

under autumn rain
with cool air calming my soul
an autumn rose grows

caught in a rain squall
wet clothes press upon my skin
still I look closely

within the sunlight 
drifting through the mists and firs
life under the trees

flowers in autumn
within the flowing mists
such tenacity

reddening leaves
a gentle autumn breeze
the motion of life
