Journeys to the End

The road goes further
Without places for dining
And the food was good

Exploring Hawaii, We went to a place called Southpointe. Ostensibly the southernmost pointe in the US. Hana Hou, the restaurant above is little ways away.

Nearby is a place called Paradise Meadows, which I found charming. A handy pit stop, with locally grown coffee and macadamia nuts. I enjoyed chatting with their collection of parrots.

I’m Awaiting Dawn: Today’s Haiku

This morning’s haiku is connected to waking up too dang early. I’m awaiting my pending alarm.

Always seek to grow

Always seeking growth

And to manage all my fears

Become what I want

It’s frightening, at times, to always seek growth. It requires constant reminders to watch for fear, the temptation to be comfortable. As a writer and artist, I see how critical it is to push boundaries. Mine as well as others. Perhaps mine are the most important boundaries to smash through. Destroying that which holds me back, which robs me of joy.

I will resist fear

For I long to seek out joy

And find potential

I’ve let fear run my life far too long. Fear of failure, of rejection. This paralyzes, destroying opportunity. This I resist.

The Growth Mindset

Seeking out purpose
And positive energy
For I long to grow

I focus on a growth mindset. Always pushing back on fears and challenging my limiting believes. It’s not easy, but always worth it.

My Fear’s Obsessions

My fear’s obsessions

They’re distracting my focus

Slowing down my dreams

It’s those fears that wake you in the dead of night that frustrate me so.
